How to Maximize Your Day

Animal Kingdom Itinerary

1 DAY

Crowd Calendar

Our 1-day Animal Kingdom Itinerary assumes moderate to high crowds. In order to accomplish this in a single day, some less popular attractions are skipped.

Park Entry

I recommend you arrive 45-60 minutes prior to opening, known as 'rope drop'. It essentially means only having a small wait at your first ride, and then having 1 hour to ride rides with the shortest lines of the day.

Touring Essentials

Having a perfectly stocked backpack to carry with you around Animal Kingdom is a must! It'll save you time and an incredible amount of money.

Morning Plan

If you're there for rope drop, the first stop of your day needs to be Pandora – World of Avatar.  Do Avatar Flight of Passage first, and Navi’ River Journey second. Then head on over to all the other amazing rides on our list!

Afternoon Plan

After lunch, take in the new Disney KiteTails show and then try out Kilimanjaro Safaris, a 25 minute safari trek in a jeep. Then Gorilla Falls and don't forget to visit Pandora – The World of Avatar again at night!

World’s Most Magical Celebration

An ongoing celebration of Disney World's 50th anniversary! It features entertainment, activities, attractions, and decorations reflective of Disney’s 50th anniversary.

Conclusion

This 1-day Animal Kingdom itinerary was the perfect combination of rides, attractions, and shows for us. We left feeling like we did it all!
